Abstract
- The article presents research which discussed the psychological needs of conservatively treated breast cancer patients. The authors state that most of the patients receiving radiotherapy experienced anxiety due to the paradox that although radiation cures cancer, it is also linked to causing cancer. In this regard, they argue that the use of social comparison groups can be helpful in addressing anxiety.
