Abstract

The article presents a comparison of case studies of patients who were diagnosed with renal angiomyolipoma using CT scan. The series of cases of renal angiomyolipoma illustrates the importance of CT scanning in both preoperative diagnosis and subsequent management of this condition. Accurate preoperative assessment of the size of the lesion can influence the decision as to when best to operate on these tumors and whether partial or total nephrectomy is indicated.
