Abstract: The article discusses the risk factors for Dyskinesia in the elderly. It explains that elderly individuals would seem to be particularly vulnerable to the development of tardive dyskinesia when administered anti-psychotic drugs and suggests that use of the newer atypical antipsychotics, rather than conventional antipsychotics in the elderly may substantially reduce the proportion developing tardive dyskinesia.
