Abstract

The article focuses on what would happen to Earth if all its human population disappeared overnight. Humans, the most dominant species of the Earth, is leaving behind huge devastations including ploughed-up prairies, razed forests, nuclear waste, chemical pollution, extinctions and now the looming specter of climate change. Without humans, the change will be evident almost immediately, as the blaze of artificial light that brightens the night sky disappears.
