Abstract

The article explores the various scandals that have plagued the U.S. Republican Party and considers the party's capability to remain in power. After controlling both houses of Congress and the White House for most of President George W. Bush's administration, the party has began to change, shifting away from its ideals and principles that defined conservatism. Some members of the party were accused of corruption, while some got involved in sex scandals.
