Abstract

A novel compound with the formula [Na2(H2O)10](NH4)3(NH3)[MoV9O28] has been synthesized for the first time and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction, infrared spectrum, UV spectrum, element analysis and ICP analysis. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1, with a=0.864 5(4) nm, b=1.044 8(4) nm, c=1.122 7(5) nm, α=69.245(6)°, β=87.224(6)°, γ=66.762(5)° and Z=1. The structure of the anion [MoV9O28]5- has a molybdenum atom mixing with nine vanadium atoms at certain positions in the similar backbone of the decanucleus structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
