VARIETIES OF LABOR POLITICS IN NORTHEAST ASIAN DEMOCRACIES.

Against existing explanations based on economic structural and organizational differences, this paper contends that patterns of union activism in newly democratized polities are shaped by unions' interaction with political institutions and actors, particularly political parties.
