Abstract
- The article looks at music and conservation and focuses on the song "I Need to Wake Up," by Melissa Etheridge. The author states that Etheridge's song will inspire a new generation of college students who are deeply troubled by the prospect of living with the consequences of global warming. Etheridge also wrote a song for the motion picture "An Inconvenient Truth." According to the article, through Etheridge's music she has taken a bold stand on global warming and challenged us all to see the truth about the future.
