Reading the future.

Purpose - This paper seeks to see how libraries measure up to futurists' predictions of libraries of the future. Design/methodology/approach - Compares the ten points in futurist Thomas Frey's paper, "The future of libraries" with the reality of current library services. Findings - By and large, much of what Frey predicts for future libraries is already a reality. Originality/value - Confirms that librarians and libraries are at the forefront of technology and providing information through different media and methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
