Abstract

The article studies the prevalence of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and effect on quality of life in a racially and ethnically diverse random sample in Boston, Massachusetts. It shows that LUTS are common among both men and women and increased substantially with age. The article also shows that LUTS have a negative impact on quality of life across age, sex, and race/ethnic groups.
