Abstract

The article reports on the nuclear bomb threat from terrorist organizations. Al-Qaeda detonating a nuclear bomb in an American city is the ultimate nightmare scenario in the U.S. Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden says that obtaining a bomb is a religious duty. Most experts believe that if Al-Qaeda were to succeed, the group would not hesitate to use it. For a basic nuclear weapon, terrorists would need about 50 kg of highly enriched, weapons-grade uranium which is difficult to manufacture.
