Abstract: The article provides an overview on the different events that happened in the year 2006 in the field of children services. The year marks the 80th year founding anniversary of the journal. Information about the celiac disease, a certain type of disorder in children have been discovered this year. Meanwhile, a philanthropist Warren Buffet leaves his fortune to Gates Foundation, which will be used in providing therapies for sick children.
