Abstract

The article offers information about the concept global warming, the significance of understanding the concept behind the scientific phenomenon, and the controversy regarding the topic in the U.S. As defined by the author, global warming is the observed overall statistical increase in the average temperature of the atmosphere and oceans over recent years. Among the causes of global warming includes the human activities that have released certain heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere and the increase in global mean temperature due to greenhouse effect.
