The article presents information on the relationship between the family breakdown and social networks in the United States. Scholar C. J. Families with loose-knit social networks lead to instability and ultimate breakdown within urban communities in the United States. Middle-class families have more close-knit social networks. In rural communities the family breakdown factor is limited.
