Abstract

The article talks about the Korean GI Bill Education and Training Program for Korean veterans in the U.S. According to the U.S. Veterans Administration, well over 500,000 Korean veterans were enrolled in the spring semester of 1959, despite a 20 percent drop in the number of veterans training under the Korean GI Bill in 1958. The program, which is in its seventh year in 1959, will end on January 31, 1965. Half of the veteran trainees have gone to college, while others attended schools below the college level or trained on the job or on the farm.
