Abstract
- The article focuses on the case report about schizophrenia in association with erythropoietic protoporphyria in Australia. Erythropoietic protoporphyria may be classified along with other erythropoietic syndromes of porphyria which is inherited as autosomal dominant. The case was recorded presenting symptom of solar urticaria in whom faecal excretion of coproporphyrin and protoporphyrin was greatly increased while urinary porphyrins were normal. The form of porphyria is associated with neurological and psychiatric illness is acute intermittent porphyria.
