Abstract
- The article cites a study that examined the somatosensory cerebral evoked responses in psychotic depression. Appropriate techniques and controls were employed and latencies were determined. The patient sample was composed of 14 men and seven women. They were discharged with diagnosis of manic-depressive psychosis, depressed phase, psychotic depressive reaction and involutional psychotic reaction. Predicted differences included the greater amplitude of patient response to the first of two median nerve shocks and recovery.
