Abstract
- The article presents a study on the characteristics of hysteroepilepsy. The term implies brain mechanisms in common between epilepsy and hysteria wherein no such direct link between these two conditions exists. However, there are a number of indirect associations between epilepsy and hysteria that could lead to confusion in the differential diagnosis and management of the patient. Hysterical psuedoseizures are attacks are attacks of sudden unconsciousness, usually associated with dramatic motor manifestations.
