Abstract

The article presents information on the Securing Oracle course to be offered by the System Administration, Networking and Security (SANS) Institute in July 2007 in the U.S. to help organizations protect their critical information resources. The course will expose the student to the database as seen through the eyes of an attacker. Versions of Oracle on Unix and Windows operating systems will also be covered. Other topics include database backup and recovery and Oracle programming issues.
