Abstract
- The author of this article, once a member of the Institute's laboratory staff, is now Personnel Manager of a Munitions Factory. He has investigated the important subject of absenteeism among over 700 of its employees, during the period July to December, 1941. He classifies its causes, comparing their frequency, or that of absenteeism in general, and lateness in relation to kind of employment, full- and part-time employment, entry into the factory before and during the war, sex, marital status and age.
