Abstract

This article presents a case study of a preterm infant with hyperbilirubinemia, staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) and sepsis. SSSS is a blistering skin disorder caused by exfoliative toxins (ET) of Staphylococcus aureus. A clinical history of the patient is discussed. Results of the laboratory examinations performed on the patient are given.
