Abstract
- The article presents legal case studies involving marketing law, price discrimination, exclusive arrangements between buyers and sellers and alleged violations of the Robinson-Patman Act. The case of Shore Gas & Oil Company Inc. v. Humble Oil & Refining Company regarding what a seller attempting to recover damages from a competing seller must prove to recover treble damages. The cases of Shreveport Macaroni Mfg. Co. Inc. v. U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Western Fruit Growlers Sales Co. v. U.S. Federal Trade Commission, involve companies that disagree with allegations against them that they are in violation of the Robinson-Patman Act.
