Abstract

The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of price competition. The author presents the case of Checker Motors Corp. v. Chrysler Corp., Chrysler Motors Corp. and Checker Taxi Co. Inc., which involves a sales promotion put on by an automobile manufacturer that grants rebates to retail companies who purchase their taxicabs. Also discussed is the case of Dean Milk Co. v. United States Federal Trade Commission, which involves issues including price discrimination surrounding dairy products.
