Selbstbeteiligung in der GKV.

The article focuses on economic and financial aspects of West Germany's compulsory health insurance system. Specifically, introducing market economy strategies into the system are considered. Allowing competition between health insurance providers and companies as well as making changes to deductible levels and contributions from patients are discussed. Pros and cons to increasing deductibles for both providers and contributors are outlined.
