Economic policy.

The article presents the economic policy of Taiwan including its budget, increased interest rates, and decentralization of government agencies. Budget for fiscal year 2007 was finally passed on June 15. On June 21, Central Bank of China raised its benchmark interest rate for the 12th successive quarter. Plans for the decentralization of government agencies remained confused, but the Fisheries Agency, under the cabinet-level Council of Agriculture, is due to relocate to Kaohsiung by October 31.
