Abstract

The article offers a report about the United States warmth record for 2006. According to four climate scientists from United States National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration, the greenhouse effect in America was behind more than half of last year's, 2005, record-breaking warmth across the contiguous United States. It states that global warming in 2006 was aggravating all manners of U.S. extremes: severe droughts, the rising cost of air conditioning, pine bark beetles ravaging once-cool western forests.
