Abstract
- The author reflects on several papers that were presented in a 2006 Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association conference in Manila titled "Climate Change in the Indo Pacific: Human responses from the Late Pleistocene to the Little Ice Age." It says that the inspiration for the conference and its publication is the dramatic boost in the availability of paleoenvironmental records in the Indo-Pacific region in the past ten years. Among the issues raised by the papers include the creation of new models that link changing climate and environment to cultural change.
