Recent Developments in Dutch Environmental Policy.

The article focuses on the developments in the environmental policy in the Netherlands. The National Environment Policy Plan was published in 1989 by the Dutch Minister of Environmental Affairs aimed at achieving sustainable development in the country. The policy plan published by the Minister for Housing, Regional Development and the Environment in 1993 provided an opportunity for analyzing the impact of the plans published in 1989. The greenhouse effect caused by the use of fossil fuels has been discussed and the Dutch sectors responsible for the emissions decided on lowering their consumption of energy.
