Abstract: The article offers a comprehensive report in the political structure and government of Austria in 1991. It discusses the government's institutional changes and national politics issues. It presents a table which gives information consisting the changes in the party creation of the Bundesrat and the result of the land elections in Styria, Upper Austria and Vienna. Another table also shows the Cabinet composition of Prime Minister Franz Vranitzky, his political party constitution and the names of his members.
