Abstract
- The article focuses on detecting plagiarism. The author claims that if deliberate perpetrators know how it easy it can be to catch them, then plagiarism can be eradicated. Many institutions have subscribed to plagiarism-detection services that offer large databases of online material, including the papers that students submit, and then compare the text of student papers with the database, looking for similarities. He points out that in plagiarism detection, one should start with a Web search engine. It is indicated that Google Scholar and similar academic search engines most definitely search a lot of academic full-text content.
