Abstract

The article offers information about the Caribbean literature wherein it stays in recreating itself as it extends its depths, and subjects by dealing with common themes of home, hybrid, exile, alienation, and belonging. Included in the canonical works in the list are Pablo Neruda's "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair," and "New Caribbean Poetry: An Anthology," which was edited by Kei Miller. It also features Opal Palmer Adisa's "Until Judgment Comes: Stories about Jamaican Men," and Jean Breeze's text "The Fifth Figure," which is a part novel, poem, and memoir.
