Abstract
- The article reports that advances in miniature-sensor technology have contributed to the development of wearable systems that physicians could use in order to observe motor behavior in patients with Parkinson's disease. In this article the researchers have sought to determine whether accelerometer data could aid physicians in predicting the severity of tremors, bradykinesia, and dyskinesia, identifying distinct movement patterns that record walking once stimulation has stopped, and estimating the rate of change in the severity of the tremor, bradykinesia, and dyskinesia.
