Abstract
- The author reflects on a discussion about transnationalism in Mexican hometown associations (HTAs). He discusses the concepts of space, membership, and time in transborder and domestic HTAs in the Arandas county of the Altos region in Jalisco, Mexico. He describes the rise of the transborder HTAs in the 1990s and the twilight of domestic Arandense HTAs in the 1980's.
