Abstract
- The article offers information on a study on the fabrication of nano-macro porous soda-lime phosphosilicate bioactive glass by the melt-quench method presented at the 31st International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites. Heat treatment of 45S and 49S glasses exhibits highly interconnected microstructure due to the coalescence and growth of second-phase particles. Chemical and thermal treatments that produce initial composition influence hydroxyapatite (HA) formation and bioactivity.
