The article presents the result of the Society of Information Management's Information Technology (IT) Trends 2007 survey which shows that IT spending is expected to increase by 9% in Great Britain. Accordingly, the Society of Information Technology Managers (Socitm) clarified that many local authorities are focusing on the need to increase efficiency in the face of tighter financial climate which is played greatly by IT. Moreover, the survey suggests that many organizations are still insufficiently focused on using IT to improve the performance of their businesses.
