Abstract
- This article reports on the death of U.S. Army Sergeant Gerald Cassidy after he was under-treated by the U.S. Army's medical personnel for more than a year after being wounded in Iraq. The article describes Cassidy's life and service in the Army, as well as the period of time after his injury. Also mentioned are similar cases of inappropriate medical care resulting in soldier's deaths that are likewise being investigated.
