Abstract

The article presents a report that compares the genetic structure of Mexican women with breast cancer(BrCa). The authors interviewed 115 unrelated women with BrCa and whose grandparents were born within the five zones of Mexico and used them as the sample in the research. They also analyzed noncodifying STRs D7S820, D13S317, and D16S39. The results show that the Mexican Mestizo population is genetically homogenous and the genetic causes of BrCa are less heterogenous.
