Abstract
- Chapter 8 of the book "A Hero and Some Other Folks" is presented. It discusses the Americans as historians which are a cosmopolitan population in a literary way. It is mentioned that the historians have done the highest grade of work in literature that simply stated belief in the leading value of the historian in American letters. It emphasizes that during the past 50 years, there were poets and novelists in England who were equal or superior to the poets and novelists of America.
