Abstract
- This article focuses on the opening of the new Pacific Arts Gallery at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The collection includes art objects that have not been displayed yet on public. The Mogulapan house-post figure and the Uvol dance mask underwent extensive conservation treatment before they were displayed. Mogulapan was once tied to the post of a house at Torembi village in the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea. Mogulapan underwent slob tests which revealed red, black and yellow pigments.
