Abstract

The article discusses the public origins and deployment of information technology in relation to Iranian society's political system. It is mentioned that Iran faces issues about reformist ulama and women. In order participate in a civil power, Internet is being used since the political system is not able to incorporate their demands. The reformist clerics and women's rights activist use the Internet to deliver their ideas, recruit new members and invite international attention. It is also mentioned that although these two movements differ in ideals and strategies, they are similar in a way that they both demand the fulfillment of their interests.
