Abstract
- The article discusses the modernization of global positioning system (GPS) with new signals and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) constellations in the U.S. It is averred that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) started the GPS Evolutionary Architectural Study (GEAS) to design future navigation architectures. GEAS is aimed at furnishing a service to bring airplanes within 200 feet of the ground anywhere in the world.
