BACKYARD TREASURE.

The article describes the design of a kitchen garden owned by Jill and Todd Utz in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Designed by Garden Design Associates, the garden features two outbuildings, one for storage and the other a playhouse for the couple's daughters. The brick raised beds were designed to hold quality soil that is easier to garden in than the existing native clay. Crushed oyster shells were used as paths within the beds, while the lower walkways are lined with bark mulch.
