Abstract

The article features the research conducted on the significance of climate variations in counteracting the impact of global climatic changes worldwide. Researchers believed that the severe impact of climatic changes will be manifested in the coming century. In preparation of such event, they employed ways of counteracting such effects. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change projected that in the next 20 years, the global climate will warm by 0.2°C per decade for a range of plausible greenhouse-gas emission levels. Many countries are taken precautionary measures in preparation of the said event. To produce retrospective forecasts, scientists uses meridional overturning circulation (MOC).
