Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the association of interindividual differences in p14<superscript>ARF</superscript> promoter methylation with single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in primary colorectal cancer. In the study, p14<superscript>ARF</superscript> methylation was detected in 61 of 188 colorectal cancers. Key findings suggested that SNP around the p14<superscript>ARF</superscript> promoter region may be responsible for the individual susceptability to p14<superscript>ARF</superscript> promoter methylation among colorectal cancer patients.
