Abstract
- The article presents a study that examined the various methods used by ecologists in measuring the relative amount of light needed by different kinds of plants. It cites several methods including photographic, potassium iodide and sulphuric acid method as well as oxalic acid method which have been adopted by different ecologists. It also points out the possibilities and limitations of each method used for ecological purposes. The author contends that photographic method is the best and more accurate method in determining the measurement of light.
