Abstract

The article presents a discussion about the rain forest of Southern Nigeria based from the ecological studies conducted on the said region. The article explores the climate, topography, ecology, and botany of the rain forest through the various studies and includes details regarding environmental aspects such as the carbon dioxide concentration of the environment, light, temperature and humidity, and soils. The article ends with a summary which states that in the area concerned, primary forest will be established again on abandoned land after cultivation.
