Abstract

The article presents a study about plant communities growing in deep peat. This study focuses on the use of radioactive tracers to determine the root-layering in species composed of plant communities in deep peat. It also investigated the characteristics of root development. The methods applied in this study is a modified version where plant absorption is observed and especially designed to adapt to deep peat. Phosphorous radioactive elements like rubidium in aqueous solutions were employed to look for absorption of nutrients and insitu rooting habit. Differences in plant communities are described.
