Abstract
- The article presents a study that examines the vegetation environment in Cairngorms, Scotland. Researchers Alex S. Watt and E. W. Jones analyzed the relationships of the environment, where Empetrum hermaphroditum, Vaccinium uliginosum and V. myrtillus are abundant, to neighboring communities on the mountains, specifically to terrain formation. They then described the four major plant communities, which include the typical and mossy facies Empetreto-Vaccinietum, the Rhacomitrietum, and the Nardetum. A discussion on each plant community is offered.
