Abstract

The article provides information about the condition of vegetation in the northern coastal plain and hills of Jedda, Saudi Arabia, which extends into the eastern slopes of the Red Sea mountains. It particularly discusses the characteristics of rainfall in the region, and describes the main topographical features of the vegetation area. The eight plant associations of the region's vegetation were also described. Those associations include the Olea-Tarchonantghus association, the Acacia mellifera association, the associations of the coastal plain, and the associations of halophytes.
