Abstract

Information on several papers discussed at the first symposium of the Vienna Research Platform of Nutrition and Food Sciences (VRPNFS), held on April 25, 2008 in Vienna, Austria, is presented. Presentations of this one-day event are grouped into four topics, namely, antioxidants and oxidative stress, cell immunity, inflammation, nutrition and genetics, food quality and analytics, and further topics of nutrition and food research.
